In various schools in the Sultanate of Oman several emergency responses were simulated as part of the IOWave16 Tsunami Exercise carried out in 24 Indian Ocean nations. About 900 students of grade 5, 6, and 7 of the Najia Bint Amer Alhajriah School participated in the evacuation drill.
